PURPOSE:To eliminate an electric shock accident and improve safety degree, by applying an input power stop detecting section and an oscillation stop release control section. CONSTITUTION:An AC power source is connected to a DC power source section via a power switch SW, and rectified smoothed DC voltage is fed to the load 3 of an electric-discharge lamp or the like through an inverter circuit 2. The inverter circuit 2 is provided with a no-load detecting section 4, and with the output, by an oscillation stop controlling section 5, the oscillating action of the inverter circuit 2 is stopped. In this case, an input power stop detecting section 6 for detecting the making and breaking state (the feeding state of alternating current power source AC) of the power switch SW, and an oscillation stop release control section 7 for re-working the inverter circuit 2 with detected signal on setting the switch SW to the OFF position and for discharging electric charge in a charge smoothing condenser C0 are arranged. By this organization, when no-load is detected, then the oscillating action of the inverter circuit 2 is stopped, and after that, when the power switch SW is set to the OFF position, the inverter circuit 2 is re-worked, and the electric charge of the smoothing condenser C0 is discharged in a moment. |
