PURPOSE:To improve accuracy of temperature measurement, by providing a correction data detecting means and a correction factor memory means storing a correction factor previously. CONSTITUTION:An output of an ambient temperature detection circuit 15 corresponding to a correction data detection means is read into a CPU 14 through an amplifier 16 and an A/D conversion circuit 17 and an EEPROM 18 corresponding to a correction factor memory means stores correction factors such as emissivity epsilon of an object 4, reflectivity R and proportional constant K. CPU 14 uses correction factors of the EEPROM 18 to correct T<4>, To<4>, the emissivity epsilonand the reflectivity R according to a predetermined program. This enables the performing of many kinds of corrections such as correction of emissivity and reflectivity of an object to be measured thereby accomplishing accurate measurement of the temperature of the object being measured.
