PURPOSE:To suppress vibration as well as to reduce noise using a simple vibration-preventing device by a method wherein the iron core of a reactor, which is elastically supported and arranged in a coolant-filled tank, and a tank are coupled together through the intermediary of a damper. CONSTITUTION:The iron core 2 of a reactor is provided in a tank 3 filled with oil 1 to be used for insulation and cooling through the intermediary of an elastic body. Besides, a hydraulic damper 4, consisting of a cylinder S and a piston P, is attached between the iron core 2 and the tank 3. As a result, the prevention of vibration can be achieved.
