摘要 PURPOSE:To make correct focus detection by an electrical correction operation by dividing the 1st photoelectric transducer array which generates the output corresponding to the illuminance distribution of the 1st light image out of the 1st and 2nd light images of an object of which the inter-image spacing changes according to the focusing condition of an objective lens to plural blocks and correcting the data on the focusing condition by as much as the distortion components of a focus detecting optical system. CONSTITUTION:Not the central part over the entire part of a reference part L of a line sensor 15 but the regions deviated to the right and left are used and therefore, the correction of the distortion is executed in the case of using the 1st and 3rd blocks I, III of the reference part L. More specifically, whether the detection with the 1st block I is possible or not is judged and if the detection is possible, the inter-image spacing deviation P1 by the 1st block I is calculated after the interpolation calculation. The error by the distortion of the focus detecting optical system is corrected in the stage of calculating the inter-image spacing deviation P1. A correlation calculation is similarly executed after checking of the contrast, by which the inter-image spacing deviation P3 by the 3rd block III is calculated and the error is corrected in this case as well. Driving of the lens is thereafter executed.
