<p>PURPOSE:To avoid the useless translation processing and to improve the translating efficiency by making use of the interim results so far obtained to the subsequent translating jobs even though the interruption of translation is indicated. CONSTITUTION:When an interruption of translation is given to a translation part 4, a translation interruption control part 4f decides whether the translation processing is being executed or not to the corresponding input original sentence. If the input sentence is being translated, it is decided whether the translation is carried out in a conversationary way or by a corrective translation system. In a corrective translation mode the input original sentences are read out for each sentence from an original sentence memory part 2 and then translated. Thus it is possible to read out the same input original sentence again and continue the translation even though the translation processing is discontinued at that time point. Therefore the corresponding translation is immediately stopped. In case an interruption of translation is indicated in a conventional translation mode, a translation control flag 4c is set up for simplification of the translation processing procedure. Then the interim result (partial translation) of translation is outputted.</p> |
