PURPOSE:To suck and remove fine scraps, generated by degating, simultaneously with the generation thereof by a method wherein a groove for evacuation is provided immediately after the dice edge of a degating dice. CONSTITUTION:A mold is provided with a vacuum groove 1 for removing the scrap of degating at the vicinity of a place whereat the scrap is generated. A sprue bush 4 is permitted to retreat a predetermined distance after a nozzle is retreated and degating is effected by moving a degating punch 6 by the hydraulic pressure of a hydraulic ejector for projecting to the side of the sprue bush 4 by a distance several or several ten % excessively more than the thickness of the base board of a disc while the scrap, generated upon degating, may be sucked and removed efficiently through the vacuum groove 1 for removing the scrap of degating. Evacuation of the vacuum groove 1 can be effected in a sealed condition substantially except the evacuation through certain clearances, therefore, a method to evacuate at all times may be employed normally. |
