PURPOSE:To strengthen ion winds generated in an ionizing unit to each other in the same direction, by arranging a plurality of ionizing units consisting of discharge electrodes and opposed electrodes in series. CONSTITUTION:High voltage is applied not only between first ionizing wired 5 and repulsion electrodes 7 but also between second ionizing wires 11 and counter electrodes 12 and the first and second ionizing wires are set to +10 kv and the repulsion electrodes 7 and the counter electrodes 12 are set to 0 kv. dust collection electrodes 10 are provided in the spaces between the repulsion electrodes 7 and potential difference is provided so as to obtain -3kv. Acceleration units consisting of the second ionizing wires 11 and the counter electrodes 12 are arranged in series so as to mutually strengthen ion winds. Because dust is almost entirely removed in th dust collection part of the previous stage, each acceleration unit entirely contributes to the increase in blowing capacity due to acceleration of ion winds.
