Situated on the earth (1), which has been freed of humus, is a storage layer (2) made of rubble concrete. Above this is situated a tubular flow circuit (3) comprising a repeatedly bent metal tube (4). Mounted above the tubular flow circuit (3) and the storage layer (2) is an absorber layer (8) made of asphalt. The arrangement described above serves as heat source for a heating installation with a heat pump. During the day, the absorber layer (8) absorbs the solar energy and delivers this in the form of heat to the storage layer (2). The energy is stored in the storage layer (2) and the stored energy can be extracted from the arrangement in the event of a lack of solar radiation or at night. <IMAGE>
