PURPOSE:To eliminate the image distortion of a display screen and to improve image quality by unifying the directions of the bias currents on the right and left arrays of IR ray detecting elements. CONSTITUTION:Two pieces of one-dimensional HgCdTe photoconductive type arrays 4L, 4R are lined up in parallel. The left and right arrays 4L, 4R have common electrodes 6L, 6R for connecting the detecting elements in the same arrays are provided to the right side of the detecting elements 3L, 3R respectively possessed by said arrays. Discrete electrodes 7L extending from the respective elements toward the left are provided on the left side of the elements 3L of the array 4L. Discrete electrodes 7B which extend to the aperture of an insulating layer 2 provided at the intermediate of the arrays 4L, 4R from the respective elements and pass the under side of the respective elements and the electrodes 6L, 6R to the right side through the layer 2 are provided to the left side of the elements 3R of the array 4R. The directions of the bias voltages to be impressed to the elements 3L, 3R of the left and right arrays 4L, 4R are thus made the same. Peaks are uniformly deviated in the distribution of the photodetecting sensitivity and the high sensitivity parts shift uniformly with respect to all the picture elements. The distortion of the screen in thereby made substantially inconspicuous. |
