PURPOSE:To shorten a regeneration time, by providing an adsorbent for adsorbing a malodorous component in an exhaust gas in a bypass pipe branched from an exhaust pipe, and supplying a suction air to the adsorbent during the regeneration of the adsorbent in a direction reverse to that during the adsorption of the exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:A bypass pipe 26 is connected to an exhaust pipe 22, an an odor adsorbent 28 such as active carbon is provided in the bypass pipe 26. A connection pipe 30 is provided to connect the bypass pipe 26 at a position upstream of the adsorbent 28 with a suction pipe 16. A first valve 32 is provided at an upstream connected portion between the exhaust pipe 22 and the bypass pipe 26, and a second valve 34 is provided at a connected portion between the bypass pipe 26 and the connection pipe 30. A second suction pipe 36 extending along the exhaust pipe 22 is connected with the bypass pipe 26 at a position downstream of the adsorbent 28, and a leading valve 38 is provided at a connected portion between the second suction pipe 36 and the bypass pipe 26. When an odor trap is regenerated, the bypass pipe 26 is closed, and the second suction pipe 36 is opened. Thus, an exhaust gas is emitted through the exhaust pipe 22 only, while a suction air induced through the second suction pipe 36 is sucked through the pipes 26 and 30 into an engine.
