The fitting comprises a pot (1) and a nose wedge (3) which is reinforced by side struts (4). The cams (2) are used for positioning the fitting during mounting. In the base of the pot and on the side strut arrangements (6) there are located screw holes (5) for the vertical or oblique screw connection of the fittings to the elements to be connected. With the aid of a drill and of a marking gauge, which has the same diameter as the pot (1) of the fitting, the fitting is mounted on the elements. The centring cams (2) and the marking gauge permit precise mounting. After the screwed connection of the fitting, the nose wedges (3) are pushed one into the other. <IMAGE>
