PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of a transmission medium by transmitting a power through the pressing force generated in a power transmission medium and preventing the spreading of the crack on the power transmission medium. CONSTITUTION:When a driving pulley 2 is revolved, the part of a vacant uneven groove 2a shifts along the direction of revolution of the driving pulley 2. When the part of the uneven groove 2a reaches the engagement terminal edge 2b with the driving pulley 2, a transfer element 5 is prevented from being pressed to a trailing pulley 3 side from behind, and stops at the position. Therefore, also another transfer element 5 is prevented from being pressed onto the trailing pulley 3 side by the transfer element 5 positioned at the engagement terminal edge 2b, and the crack on a power transmission medium does not spread, and breakage can be prevented.
