PURPOSE:In a color scan electronic microscope which provides the color tone same with that to be provided through the eye, to enable the observation of the image where the inherent color tone of the specimen is lapped over the image in the scan electronic microscope having high resolution, by displaying the optical image and the scan electronic microscope image alternatively on same sceen. CONSTITUTION:An optical microscope 10 is provided below the specimen 2 where the specimen 2 can be observed through the preparator 3 and photographed through the color television camera 14 connected to the microscope 10. Synthesized color picture signal having the color information indicating the inherent color of the specimen irradiated by the while light L is obtained from the camera 14, while the detected signal S having the brightness information relating to the strength of the secondary electron at the same position is obtained from the scan electronic microscope. Then both signals are fed to the display 16, then the color image of the specimen photographed by the color camera 14 and the scan electronic microscope image of blank and white based on the detected signal S are displayed alternatively on CRT15 for every frame. |
