PURPOSE:To remove the feeling of visual discontinuity between small screens by lowering a black level in comparison with other projectors in the case of the projector adjacent to the projector for projecting a video of high brightness exceeding a fixed level. CONSTITUTION:Based on brightness information obtained from a video signal of the projector Pij for projecting the video exceeding the fixed level in all the videos, the black level of the small screen adjacent to the small screen Sij of the high brightness is lowered in comparison with other levels. Thereby, the visual discontinuity in a background color generated in a boundary part of the small screen Sij due to white shading based on the irregular reflection in a high brightness projection tube is removed by a black level correction as small as required which is limited to the small screen surrounding the small screen Sij of the high brightness to improve the entire video.
