VARIABLE WIDTH TYPE CASTING MOLD FOR VACUUM METALLURGY PROVIDED WITH EXTERNAL DRIVING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and to improve work efficiency by using a vacuum chamber as a casting mold for vacuum metallurgy and placing a driving apparatus required to vary the width of the casting mold or the outside of the mold. CONSTITUTION:Wide face clamping shafts 7 are moved backward with wide face clamping mechanisms 6 to release the wide faces 2 from clamping and to widen the interval between the wide faces 2. Narrow faces 3 are then moved forward or backward with narrow face moving mechanisms 4 through narrow face moving shafts 5 to regulate the interval between the narrow faces 3 to the desired size. Finally the wide faces 2 are clamped by moving the shafts 7 forward with the mechanisms 6 to complete change of the size.
