摘要 PURPOSE:To always enable continuous detection of the amount of liquid, by hanging a long float which is greater in the density than a liquid as an object to be detected while being long in the height-wise direction of a container on a weight sensor to allow the detection of a liquid surface regardless of position in the container. CONSTITUTION:A float 10 which is greater in the density than a liquid 13 while being long in the height-wise direction of the container 8 hangs on a semiconductor pressure sensor 9 mounted on the top of the bottomed container 8. As the float 10 receives a buoyance equivalent to the value of the volume of the liquid 13 below the liquid surface multiplied by the density of the liquid 13, the tension applied to a semiconductor pressure sensor 9 from the float 10 will be a value of the weight of the float 10 subtracted by the value of volume below the liquid surface of the float 10 multiplied by the density of liquid 13. So to speak, when the liquid surface is high, the tension will be small while when the liquid surface is low, it will be large while changing continuously. An output signal of the semiconductor pressure sensor 9 receiving this tension is converted into a digital value with an A/D converter 11 and the results are displayed in a bar graph 12.
