PURPOSE:To form on a photosensitive body a picture image having high quality of high uniformness and no dispersion contg. no defects such as black spot by selecting a binder resin for transporting a carrier and a solvent for the carrier generating layer in such a manner that both are suited to specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:In the first state, a carrier transporting material and binder resin are dissolved in a solvent, and obtd. soln. is coated and dried to form a carrier transporting layer. Then, a carrier generating material, binder resin for dispersant, and if necessary, a carrier transporting materials are dissolved and dispersed in a solvent having the value of the difference of SP to the binder resin being >=1.5, pref. >=2.5, and obtd. liquid dispersion is coated on the carrier transporting layer forming a carrier generating layer after drying. By this method. the carrier transporting layer formed as lower layer is not disturbed by dissolution or swelling, etc., during formation of the carrier generating layer. Moreover, mixing of the carrier generating layer itself with the carrier transporting layer, or occurrence of crawling, etc., are also prevented. |
