PURPOSE:To prevent steel wire twist from being caused in a wound wire, by twisting in advance a steel wire to be wound around a drum in a direction opposite to the direction of steel wire twist caused by winding the steel wire around the drum. CONSTITUTION:The rotation of gears 3, 14 associated with the rotation of a main shaft 2 permits a rotary disc 15 to rotate in one direction so that a steel wire W which has just drawn in is twisted in any direction of the right or left first by the rotating action around an axis center of a steel wire twisting member 16. On the other hand, since a rotary shaft 5 attached to a gear 4 engaged with the gear 3 at its lower side is rotated in the direction opposite to the rotating direction of the rotary disc 15, the twist of the steel wire W twisted in the previous process is restored. Then, the wire is wound around a wire winding drum 10 succeedingly by a turn pulley 7 turning around the periphery of the drum 10. At the time, since a planetary gear 6 turns around sun gears 8, 9, the drum 10 does not rotates with respect to the rotary shaft 5. The steel wire wound around the drum 10 is dropped succeedingly to a carrier 11 to be transferred to a post process.
