PURPOSE:To make it possible to discriminate an occurrence of an abnormal combustion condition accurately by compensating a threshold value for discriminating abnormal combustion condition and/or output characteristics of a based on an output value of a vibration sensor as a reference value when an intake or exhaust valve comes into contact with a valve seat. CONSTITUTION:A reference value setting means 5 sets a value outputted from a vibration sensor 1 as a reference value at the time of seating of at least either one of an intake and an exhaust valves detected with a seating time detection means 4, for instance a crank angle sensor. And either one of a dis crimination reference value, namely a threshold value used for discriminating combustion condition by means of a combustion condition discrimination means 2 and output characteristics of a vibration sensor 1 is compensated by means of a compensation means 6. Thus, it is possible to discriminate the occurrence of an abnormal combustion condition accurately, and to control ignition timings and fuel feed rates favorably without being affected by variance in the output characteristics of the vibration sensor. |
