An intravaginal device, esp. for contraception, comprises an elastic, substantially cylindrical block of plastics foam having a pref. central hole, esp. blind hole, in which a handling device is seated, and is bonded esp. by being positioned there during the foaming operation. The block is pref. of an open-pore plastics foam, esp. plasticized polyurethane foam, more specifically with open cells in the surface region also. - Pref. the foam block (2) is in a single piece and pref. has the cells closed by appropriate temp. control on the face (14) opposite to the opening. This face is pref. concave, with a rounded rim (19), the depth (24) of the concavity being less than the overall depth (5) less the total depth (25) of the handling device. |
