PURPOSE:To omit the operation of the following input data and at the same time to void the input mistakes by storing previously the next input candidate data and displaying this candidate data after the input data in case the next input candidate data corresponding to the input data is available. CONSTITUTION:When an input key for KANA (Japanese syllabary), etc., is operated, the data corresponding to the operated key is supplied to an input buffer 3. Then the cursor pointer of an RAM 7 is replaced for the right shift of a cursor mark by a character. Then it is retrieved whether or not the next input candidate data corresponding to the data equivalent to several characters supplied immediately before the replacement of the cursor pointer is stored in a next input candidate memory 10. If said candidate data is stored in the memory 10, the data on the next input candidate is displayed reversely at a place following the cursor mark position. When a next candidate key 1a is operated, the following next input candidate is retrieved out of the memory 10 and then displayed reversely at a place following the cursor mark position. Thus it is possible to eliminate the misinput of the voiced and semi-voiced marks, punctuation marks, etc.
