PURPOSE:To make a photosensitive body unnecessary to make the constitution very simple and durable by exposing a photosensitive paper provided with microcapsules, which sense the light different in wavelength and are hardened, to the reflected light from an original. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive paper 20 is exposed to the reflected light from an original 10 irradiated by an irradiating device 12 by complementary color filters 24-28, phosphors 30-34, and SELFOC lenses 22 constituting a wavelength converting device 18. The light which passes the filter 24 is converted to a light having a wavelength lambda1 by the phosphor 30 and hardens microcapsules 44 on the photosensitive paper. Similarly, three primary colors correspond to filters, phosphors, and microcapsules 44-48. When the photosensitive paper passes between nip rolls 50, microcapsules which are not hardened are crushed and act on a color developing layer 42 to develop colors. Thus, a photosensitive body whose precision of dimensions is severe is unnecessary to make the constitution very simple and durable.
