PURPOSE:To make favorable the dielectric strength property, heat resistance, and mechanical strength, by inserting a plurality of cylindrical pipes of a composite material comprising glass fiber or mica and a polyether ether ketone resin around a metal conduit, and heating and melting them under pressure and specified conditions with the circumference held by a mold. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of cylindrical pipes of a PEEK composite material are inserted around a metal conduit, their outer circumference is pressurized under a pressure of 20-200kg/cm<2> using a mold and is heated at a temperature of 350 deg.C-450 deg.C to melt the cylindrical pipes thereby integrating them together, welding them to the metal conduit and forming an insulating body. The inside of the obtained insulating body is free from bubbles. The insulating body can withstand a hot water test of 300 deg.C, is suitable as an electrical insulating body for an electrode support conduit for electrically heating oil sand layers, and is excellent in electrical properties, mechanical properties, and hot water resistance. |
