PURPOSE:To execute a welding assembly at a low cost by a welding machine whose welding nozzle has been fixed in one direction, by welding alternately a split body of a crank pin side and a split body of a crank journal side. CONSTITUTION:A crank pin 5 having a crank web split body 5a in both ends of a shaft, and a crank journal 6 having a web split body 6a are forged integrally in one body. Subsequently, the crank journal 6 of this parts is held by an inversion device 7, and welding is executed by moving a welding nozzle 10 along a weld zone A of the split bodies 5a, 6a. That of this state is inverted by the inversion device 7, and the weld zone A of the reverse side is welded in the same way. Therefore, since a welding machine in which a position of the welding nozzle 10 has been fixed in one direction can be used, a crank shaft can be assembled at a low cost of equipment.
