<p>PURPOSE:To improve melting capacity, operability and productivity with a simplified equipment, by alternately positioning plural furnace bodies at an arc melting part and a preheating part to carry out preheating and arc melting in order. CONSTITUTION:Material to be melted is charged by a conveyor 24 into a scrap bucket 23 of a charging part 25, transferred by a turning arm 26 on the furnace body 3 at the preheating part 6 and thrown into the body 3 by opening bottom part of a link mechanism 2. In this time, the other scrap bucket 22 is positioned at the part 25. The body 3 is transferred to the arc melting part 5 by a turning table 8 and material to be melted is arc melted by an electrode 9. In this time, the other furnace body 2 is positioned at the part 6. Exhaust gas having heat of arc melting is introduced into a combustion tower 4 from a path 18, heated by a burner 21 and introduced through a path 20 to the body 2 positioned at the part 6 to secondarily heat material to be melted. Further, exhaust gas is used for primary preheating of material to be melted in a scrap bucket 22 and exhausted from an exhaust path 30. In this way, material to be melted is continuously transferred to reduce heat loss and improve heat efficiency.</p> |
