PURPOSE:To control the pulse supply time in accordance with an observation position and a use mode of an endoscope to obtain a vivid image by providing a chopper with a window through which an illuminating light pulse is sent to an optical system interruptedly across the luminous flux of an illuminating light. CONSTITUTION:Notched windows 31a and 32a are formed in concentric circles on a chopper 30, and positions of magnets 33 and 34 set to shielding parts 31b and 23b are detected by a sensor 35. The chopper 30 is rotated once in every one frame scanning time to supply the illuminating light pulse across a luminous flux A from a light source 21. The signal of a solid-state image pickup element 16 which is inputted from an endoscope 10 is projected on a monitor television. The chopper 30 rotated by a motor 25 is moved by a shifter 36 to bring one of windows 31 and 32a into the optical path, and the pulse supply time is controlled in accordance with the use state and the observation position of the endoscope. Thus, one-frame scanning components of image are projected vividly even in case of a quickly moving object. |
