PURPOSE:To obtain an oxygen blow pipe which is compact and permits easy handling by drawably coiling a calorized steel pipe on a take-up drum in such a manner that the beginning end thereof projects from the drum. CONSTITUTION:An oxygen lance 4 is pressed to a steel bar 3 preliminarily embedded into packing mud 2 of a blast furnace tap hole 1 and the packing mud 2 and gaseous oxygen is blown to the lance to open the tap hole while the bar 3 and the mud 2 are burned and melted. The calorized steel pipe 11 is used for the oxygen lance 4 and is forcibly coiled on the take-up drum 14 consisting of flanges 12a, 12b and a barrel 13. The beginning end 11a of the steel pipe 11 is projected to the outside through the through-hole of the barrel 13 and is connected to an oxygen feeder. The coiled calorized steel pipe 11 is leveled and straightened by a guide device 7 having a guide roller group 6 and is used as the oxygen lance.
