PURPOSE:To enable the termination of liquid injection and initiation of reinjection and to simplify the cleaning operation of a food extruder, by providing a specific liquid injection circuit to supply a liquid material to a barrel of a feed extruder and a cleaning circuit to clean said liquid injection circuit. CONSTITUTION:The liquid injection apparatus of a food extruder is constructed of the following components (a)-(c). (a) A liquid-injection circuit 60 furnished with tanks 32, 42 to store a liquid material such as water; on-off valves 33, 44 to control the discharge of the liquid material from these tanks; a metering pump 34 to pressurize the liquid material in the tanks 32, 42 and discharge through said valves; and a valve apparatus 46 discharging the above liquid material discharged from the metering pump 34 to the liquid injection port 22 of an extruder barrel 13A (also applicable to 13B-13N), (b) a temperature controller 47 to control the liquid-injection circuit 60 to a specific temperature and (c) a cleaning circuit 61 (a cleaning tank 43 is used or city water tap is directly connected to a valve 45) attached at the upstream side of the metering pump 34 via an on-off valve 45 parallel to the tanks 32, 42 and used to clean the liquid-injection circuit 60. |
