PURPOSE:To prevent effectively a part of a writing and reading of an analog memory from being overlapped by providing the first and the second delay circuits and maintaining a wide time base correction. CONSTITUTION:A synchronizing signal is added to the first color difference signal R-Y incoming to an input terminal during a recording in a period of 1H (H is a horizontal scanning period). At the same time,the second color difference signal B-Y comes to an input terminal 2. These color difference signals R-Y and B-Y are supplied to a time base compression/extension circuit 3 and alternately synthesized in time series every 0.5H unit after the time base is compressed to 1/2 times so as to transmit information for 1H in 0.5H. The color difference signals R-Y and B-Y time base compressed to 1/2 times by the time base complession/extension circuit 3 are alternately time shared and multiplexed respectively in 1H and the color difference signals are successively taken out, supplied to a rotating head 11 through an FM modulator 8, a recording amplifier 9 and a switch circuit 10 respectively and thereby recorded on a magnetic tape 12.
