摘要 |
PURPOSE:To decrease polarization of a battery during discharge by using posi tive electrode material obtained by mixing Pd black or Pt black powder to TiS2. CONSTITUTION:A battery consists of a negative electrode mainly comprising metallic copper, Cu<+> ion conductive solid electrolyte, and a positive electrode mainly comprising a mixture of TiS2 and Pd powder. For example, a battery having a positive electrode containing 60mg of TiS2+Pt+RbCu4I1.5C3.5 having a ratio of 2:0.02:3 by weight is discharged at a constant current of 100muA at 20 deg.C. The variation of voltage to discharge time shows low polarization of the battery. Since TiS2 of the electrode material is a nonstoichometric com pound, TiSx (1.8<=x<=2.1) also shows the similar result. The mixing of Pd black and Pt black to TiS2 decrases activation energy and results in small polariza tion. |
