Single-handed adjustment by means of a self-locking adjusting wheel with an additionally adjustable rotary resistor in the case of stripping pliers. In order to achieve a major simplification in comparison with the adjustment capability which was possible in the past in the case of the specified type of stripping pliers having an adjusting screw and a lock nut, the new type of single-handed adjustment using an adjustable rotary resistor for the first time makes it possible for the adjustment and setting of stripping pliers of the specified type to be carried out in a continuously variable manner with the operator using one hand, while at the same time it is made possible to match the operation of the rotary resistor to the different operator hands by means of the pressure setting device. Presetting of the stripping pliers to an electrical cable which is no longer useable can now be carried out so that damage to the different cross-sections during stripping is thus prevented. This is in turn made possible by the type of setting and adjustment and the hand which has in consequence become free. Electrical cables having harmonised and thin-wire lines and different cross-sections can thus for the first time be stripped without effort using the specified type of stripping pliers. As a result of the new type of single-handed adjustment for the specified type of stripping pliers, a free hand has been created for the first time, by means of which handling has been considerably simplified, so that even different electrical cables can thus be held firmly, while at the same time...
