The invention relates to a roof covering which comprises large-surface-area, profiled metal sheets or panels which are supported on a load-bearing structure by load-bearing and fastening elements. For said roof covering, in order to provide a roofing-skin ventilation area, free of flow obstructions, with non-slip supporting of said roofing skin formed by the profiled sheets or panels, the invention proposes that the load-bearing or fastening elements, in the region between their two projecting free ends at which the profiled metal sheets or panels forming the roofing skin are supported and held in a clamping manner, exhibit at least one, but preferably two, projecting supporting webs which bear in a sheet-like manner on the underside of the panels or sheets forming the roofing skin and which, furthermore, also bear in a sheet-like manner on the load-bearing structure of the roof and thus form a solid, non-slip supporting means for the panels or sheets of the roof skin, without having to render necessary an increase in the actual production outlay or even the mounting outlay of the load-bearing and fastening elements. <IMAGE>
