FIRE RESISTANT GATE VALVE

A valve is disclosed which comprises, a body flow passages, a chamber and a valve closure element. Stem back seating means are provided on a bonnet in response to axial movement of the stem as well as a fusible ring above which a first bearing surrounding the stem is arranged. This bearing cooperates with the ring and the bonnet to prevent axial movement of the stem. A radial flange is arranged between the first bearing and the fusible ring.
