<p>PURPOSE:To provide many key switch functions even if a keyboard part is narrow by selectively displaying plural types of keyboards and producing any types of keyboards in accordance with a key operation. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with a display means 1 displaying keyboards, a coordinate input means 2, a read-only fixed memory 3 which stores data displaying plural types of keyboards and plural types of keycodes corresponding to coordinates X and Y in the coordinate input means 2, and arithmetic processing means 4, which selectively displays plural types of keyboards on the display means based on data previously stored in the fixed memory 3, and reads from said memory 3 a code corresponding to the displayed keyboard, in accordance with a coordinate signal transmitted from the coordinate input means 2 corresponding to the keyboard part operated by an operator. Thus a key array and key functions can be easily modified in accordance with applications.</p> |
