PURPOSE:To obtain a signal selecting device which is of low-cost, small-sized, and superior in workability by subjecting signals to optical wavelength multiplexing and selecting a wavelength to select signals. CONSTITUTION:Electric signals 1-1-1-m are converted to optical signals different in wavelength by electrooptic converting parts 4-1-4-m and are multiplexed in a multiplexing part 13 and are propagated as an optical signal 5. The propagated optical signal is distributed by a distributing part 17, and distributed optical signals are led to wavelength-variable demultiplexers 19-1-19-n through optical fiber cables 18-1-18-n, and one wavelength is selected from signals subjected to optical wavelength multiplexing and is outputted as optical signals 20-1-20-n. Thus, the low-cost signal selecting device is attained even if signals have a wide band or the number of signals to be multiplexed is large. |
