PURPOSE:To obtain a device which is low-cost and small-sized and is superior in workability even if a signal has a wide band, by distributing a signal converted to light with respect to signal distribution in the device. CONSTITUTION:A signal 2 is converted to an optical signal by an electrophoto conversion part 6, and the optical signal is propagated in an optical fiber 7 and is made incident on an optical star coupler 8 and is distributed to n-number of optical signals. Distributed optical signals are propagated in optical fibers 9-1-9-n and are inputted to photoelectric conversion parts 10-1-10-n and are outputted as signals 4-1-4-n whose number is a desired distribution number. Since the optical star coupler fulfills the signal distributing function independent ly of the band width of the signal inputted to the device, a low-cost signal distributing part is attained even if the signal to be distributed has a wide band. Since an optical fiber cable narrower and lighter than a metallic cable is used for wiring, the space occupied by wiring in the device is reduced. |
