PURPOSE:To attain the effective use of the memory resources by estimating and securing the buffer quantity required based on the occurring frequency of the observed trace phenomena and the trace data amount. CONSTITUTION:A trace phenomenon detecting part 12 detects a trace phenomenon and informs it to a tracer 13. The tracer 13 decides a dry run mode through a mode deciding part 14 and calls out a trace data amount measuring part 15. The part 15 calculates the accumulated data amount every time a trace phenomenon occurs. A necessary buffer quantity estimating part 16 estimates the buffer quantity required from the data amount measured by the part 15 and the speed information with which the contents of a buffer 20 are delivered to a file 22. A buffer securing part 17 secures the buffer 20 having the buffer quantity estimated by the part 16 in a system common area 19 in a dry run mode. Thus the effective use of the memory resources is attained and at the same time the service properties can be improved since no designation is required for the number of buffers, etc. |
