PURPOSE:To enable an ink roller to be automatically set to a print drum and make it possible to avoid issuing a blank receipt or the like due to mis-setting, by providing a cam mechanism for a drum shaft of the print drum. CONSTITUTION:When setting a new ink roller 32 to a print drum 2, a cam- engaging part 43 of an ink roller setting lever 41 is located within the path of rotation of a cam 44, so that when the cam 44 is rotated in the direction of an arrow, it comes into contact with the cam-engaging part 43, and turns the lever 41 counterclockwise. With the lever 41 thus turned, an operating lever 36 for replacement of the ink roller and an ink roller arm 33 are turned clockwise, and the arm 33 is unlocked. The arm 33 lifts up the roller 32 from a bottom surface of an ink roller holder 45, and brings the roller 32 into contact with type faces of the drum 2. The drum 2 never fails to rotate several times before starting printing, so that the roller 32 is automatically set to the drum 2.
