CONTROLLER FOR REMOTE CONTROL

PURPOSE:To operate many operating functions by a reduced number of keys by projecting a pattern signal indicating the contents of an operation required for respective equipments on a picture of a cathode ray tube of a television receiver according to the instruction of a transmitting signal. CONSTITUTION:Pattern generating parts 2-13 and 2-14, 4-16 and 4-17 for generating the pattern signal indicating the contents of the operation required for the television receiver (TV)2 and other equipments connected to the TV2 are provided for the respective equipments. A remote control signal is decoded and a command signal is generated from a control signal generating part 2-8. According to the command signal, the pattern signal indicating the contents of the operation of the selected other equipments 4 is projected on a CRT 2-7 of the TV2. A cursor is moved on the CRT 2-7 by the operation of the remote control and any pattern indicating the contents of the operation is made coincide with the cursor to output the operation command.
