PURPOSE:To remove chips on the surface of a grindstone by the liquid pressure variation of liquid by arranging a facing member so as to keep a very narrow gap to the surface of grinding surface and supplying a specified liquid into the gap from this side of a rotation direction during rotation of the grindstone. CONSTITUTION:A facing member M is arranged along a specified length lof the circumference of a grindstone 1 so as to keep a very narrow gap 5 having a distance t. Liquid such as cooling liquid is supplied from a nozzle 3 to the very narrow gap 5 from this side (B) of a rotation direction (A). With the rotation of the grindstone 1, the liquid is cored to introduce into the gap 5, and discharged from opposite side (C). Sharp liquid pressure variation arises in the gap 5 over from the B side to the C side, and chips on the grindstone 1 are removed for preventing blinding of the grindstone.
