PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of the work and to stabilize it by relatively controlling the irradiation position of a laser beam based on the signal found by projecting the illumination light which irradiated on a weld zone to an optical detector. CONSTITUTION:A weld zone 8 and its vicinity are irradiated by the illuminating light 13a, which is projected to an optical detector 14 by making it in the prescribed magnification by an image forming lens 15. The position of the irradiating point of a laser beam L is detected based on the waveform detected by an optical detector 16. A rotary device 2 rotates based on a control signal to make the weld zone 8 coming to the given position. The work can be performed stably with good efficiency by using this method and machine. |
