PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition afforded with flame-retardancy without impairing resiliency and mechanical properties, good in processability, suitable for electric wire covering materials, etc., by incorporating a thermoplastic polyurethane with aluminum hydroxide, chlorinated paraffin, etc. in each specified amount. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating 100pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polyurethane with (A) 20-60pts.wt. of aluminum hydroxide, (B) 10-30pts.wt. of chlorinated paraffin, (C) a halogenated organic flame-retardant (e.g. decarbromodiphenyl oxie) and (D) 5-30pts.wt. of antimony trioxide. A conductive material is covered with this composition to make electric wires.
