In a centrifuge rotor there is formed a separation chamber (4) having an inlet (24) for a mixture of components to be separated and two outlets (21,23) for the respective separated components. A partition (7) is arranged to divide the separation chamber (4) in two elongated compartments (29, 30) situated at different distances form the rotor axis. A displacement member is arranged to displace the separated heavy component in the circumferential direction of the rotor through the radially outer one of said compartments to and out through the outlet (23) for heavy component. |
