PURPOSE:To make handling easy and to simplify the form of preservation and transformation by intimately mixing an insoluble base bound with an antigen or antibody and labeling material at a low temp. and freeze-drying the mixture. CONSTITUTION:An labeling antibody or labeling antigen as a reagent is first kept cooled at 0-10 deg.C, more preferably 0-4 deg.C. The insoluble base bound with the antigen or antibody (natural high polymer, ceramics, etc.) is then put into a reaction vessel which is cooled to 0-10 deg.C, more preferably 0-4 deg.C. The previously cooled labeling antibody or labeling antigen is added to the vessel and is frozen within 4hr, more preferably 1hr. The base and the antibody or antigen are then freeze-dried to form the compsn. for measurement. Water and buffer soln. and further serum which is a sample are added to the compsn. for measurement and are intimately mixed therewith. The mixture is incubated for one hour, is washed and is used for the detection of the labeling material.
