PURPOSE:To improve test efficiency and to reduce power by engaging a couple of pinions with a reciprocating rack, fitting rotation-side chuck for a spring to be tested thereto, and providing an initial load placing mechanism one of fixed- side chucks. CONSTITUTION:A moving table 3 moved up and down by an eccentric mechanism 1 is fitted with the rack 7, which engages a couple of pinions; and rotation- side chucks 10a and 10b and springs 11a and 11b to be tested are fixed each at one end and the other-side ends of the springs are fixed to fixed chucks 12a and 12b. Further, the chuck 12b is provided with a rotating part 16 for causing initial torsion. When the chuck 10b rotates clockwise prior to a test, the rotation part 16 is rotated counterclockwise and applied with an initial load. When the eccentric mechanism 1 is rotated, and torque of the spring 11a is maximum and that of the spring 11b is zero at a top dead point; and they are reversed at a bottom dead point. Consequently, those two springs are tested with a single motor to realize improved precision and reduced power. |
