PURPOSE:To realize magnetization while readily coping with various sizes of objects to be magnetized or a different number of magnetization polarities, by applying and moving a magnetic head on the object to be magnetized which rotating the object to be magnetized, during the magnetization process, for scanning the surface of the object to be magnetized. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head 14 is applied on the surface of an object to be magnetized 4 by a support means consisting of a slide unit 13. The surface of the object to be magnetized 4 is scanned consecutively by the rotation given by mounting means consisting of a device 1 for vertically moving a rolling center 2 and of a chuck 3 and by the movement given by moving means consisting of a device 15 for vertically moving the magnetic head and a device 16 for reciprocally moving the same. An angle of rotation of the object to be magnetized 4 is detected by a rotary encoder 18. A magnetizing position and a polarity to be magnetized are thus detected in the real-time mode, and thus a power supply means is allowed to supply a proper power for magnetization to the magnetic head 14, according to the detected results. Accordingly, the body can be magnetized at a predetermined position on its surface with a predetermined polarity. |
