This muscle-development apparatus is made up of a base A and of several elements B which enable it to be given different configurations corresponding to particular muscle-development exercises. The assembly of the various elements B, particularly on the base, is carried out by means of connections having a vertical axis and which are made up of paired ends A4, B1 of the base on the one hand and of the elements on the other hand, which are slipped on to male connecting elements A5. Thus, the rigidity of the apparatus is obtained principally by means of the weight of the person using it, since the ends bear on each other A4, B1. The assembly can be easily dismantled and takes up only a very small space for transportation. Application to individual gymnastics apparatuses. <IMAGE>
