摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To provide a light emitter for electrostatic recording which ensures easy setting of timings for operating phosphor dots to emit light, by arranging plural light- emitting parts in a staggered pattern so that the distance between the center line with respect to the vertical direction of the light-emitting parts in one row and that in the other row is in a specified relation with the distance between the centers of phosphor dots in a slit. CONSTITUTION:Slitted form controlling electrodes are arranged in two staggered rows (light-emitting parts X1, X2, X3... and Y1, Y2, Y3...). These are disposed on a vacuum sealed container, and anodes are connected to an image signal circuit (b) comprising a transistor group 30 for applying image signals, whereas the controlling electrodes are connected to an electrode-selecting circuit (c) comprising a transistor group 31 for selecting electrodes. The distance D between the center line with respect to the vertical direction of the light-emitting parts in one of the two staggered rows and that in the other row and the distance P between the centers of phosphors in each slit fulfils the relation of (n-0.1)P/2<=D<=(n+0.1)P/2, wherein (n) is an integer. With this arrangement, it is unnecessary to use as a delay circuit an analog circuit complicated in construction and troublesome to adjust. Accordingly, a light-emitting operation can be stably performed.</p>
