PURPOSE:To develop a Ti alloy excellent in corrosion resistance and strength by incorporating specific amounts of Ru and/or Pd, 1 or >=2 elements among Ni, W, and Mo, oxygen, and Fe to Ti. CONSTITUTION:The following elements are added to Ti: 0.005-2.0wt%, Ru and/or 0.005-2.0% Pd so as to improve corrosion resistance; 1 or >=2 kinds among 0.01-2.0% Ni, 0.005-0.5% W, and 0.01-1.0% Mo to improve corrosion resistance to a greater extent by interaction with Ru and Pd and also to reduce the amounts of expensive Ru and Pd to be used; and further 0.14-0.40% oxygen and 0.02-0.20% Fe to improve strength without deteriorating corrosion resistance. In this way, Ti alloy excellent in strength as well as in corrosion resistance can be obtained.
