Method for DNA sequence analysis

A method for DNA sequence analysis entails carrying out a template-controlled polymerisation in the presence of a DNA polymerase and of dNTPs and then subjecting the resulting DNA strand to a treatment with exonuclease III, then fractionating by gel electrophoresis the resulting fragments which are terminated by the nucleoside phosphorothioate residue. This method can be used to carry out simple and accurate DNA sequence analysis.
